July 4th Festivities at Disney World
If you're not afraid to brave the holiday crowds at Disney World, you'll be treated to an eye popping display of fireworks at the theme parks. Disney-MGM Studios will lead the fun with a special Fourth of July fireworks show prior to its regular showing of, "Fantasmic!" The Magic Kingdom will treat guests to the famous "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks show with patriotic music. And Epcot guests will see the acclaimed "IllumiNations" show with a special holiday finale.
Fireworks schedule for July 4:
Magic Kingdom -- Fantasy in the Sky fireworks, 9 p.m.
Disney-MGM Studios -- Fourth of July fireworks, 9 p.m.; Fantasmic! 10 p.m.
Epcot -- IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, 10 p.m.
All fireworks shows are included with theme park admission.
EPCOT Summer Concert Series
Throughout the summer of 2006, tributes to some of your favorite recording artists/groups will take place at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot's World Showcase. Showtimes are at 5:15, 6:45 and 8:00pm.
June 12 - 18: Transit Authority - A Tribute to Chicago
June 19 - July 1: Hotel California - A Salute to the Eagles
July 2- 14: 52nd Street - A Tribute to Billy Joel
July 15 - 21: Draw the Line - A Tribute to Aerosmith
July 22 - August 6: Bjorn Again - A Tribute to ABBA
August 7 - 13: Transit Authority - A Tribute to Chicago
New Disney Playhouse Character Meal at Disney-MGM Studios
A new character meal, featuring characters from Playhouse Disney will debut at Hollywood & Vine at Disney-MGM Studios on June 25th. You'll be able to dine with the characters at breakfast and lunch -- dinner will remain a "non character" meal (Hollywood & Vine is a buffet restaurant).
Characters in attendance include JoJo and Goliath from JoJo's Circus and June and Leo from the Little Einsteins. The meals will be hosted by the Playhouse Pals, who will entertain diners with Playhouse Disney songs and dancing.

Enjoy special holiday shows, fireworks and holiday goodies while enjoying the other attractions. This is a separately ticketed event at the Magic Kingdom.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party dates now available
September 29 and October 2, 5-6, 10, 12, 16-17, 19-20, 23-24, 26-27, 30-31. Tickets go on sale May 1st.
This is a favorite event of young and old. Dress up in your Halloween costume and go trick-or-treating at the Magic Kingdom. All park rides are open, plus you're treated to a special Halloween parade, fireworks show, characters in costume, and photo ops.
Make Your Dining Reservations 6 months in Advance
Starting October 28, 2005, Disney will begin accepting Advance Dining Reservations as far as 180 days in advance. Previously for most Disney World restaurants reservations could be made no sooner than 90 days prior. The new 180-day advance reservation policy also applies to Disney child care centers, and also other special events like the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian.
If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can make dining reservations for your entire stay, starting at 180 days from your arrival date.
Parking Rates Increase
Parking rates at the four parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom) are now:
Cars: $9.00/day
Camper/Trailer: $10.00/day
Bus/Tractor Trailer: $12.00/day
As always, parking is free for Disney resort hotel guests and Annual Passholders. Parking at Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Downtown Disney is also free. You only pay for parking once a day, so if you visit more than one park in a day, just hold on to your receipt and show it at the next park.
